3 Things Most Christians Don't Know About Muslims and the Gospel
When many Christians think of Muslims, they think of barriers - closed countries, hard hearts or fear of persecution. But what if some of those assumptions are simply… wrong?
Here are three surprising truths we’ve learned:
1.Many Muslims Are Spiritually Curious
Contrary to what you might think, millions of Muslims are asking deep spiritual questions. Research by Barna indicates that online searches about Christianity in restricted regions are on the rise. Every month, people across the Arab world search online for things like:
“Who is Jesus in the Bible?”
“Can God love me?”
“What is the Gospel?”
They may never walk into a church, but they are searching for truth.
2. Dreams and Visions Open the Door
In places where the Bible is banned and Christian witness is restricted, God is still speaking. We’ve heard from Muslims who say they saw Jesus in a dream and according to Pew Research Center, this is on the rise in the Middle East. These moments often lead to questions online, deep conversations and spiritual transformation. God is reaching hearts in miraculous ways and the digital age helps us follow up.
3. The Church Has a Powerful Role to Play
You don’t need to be a missionary to make an impact. Through prayer, giving and supporting Gospel outreach, everyday Christians can help take the Truth into homes that missionaries can’t access.
